When you think of a career change what are the things that you consider? There are of course the usual things that spring to mind – salary, promotional prospects, flexible working, values of the organisation. But do you ever think about how your wellbeing will be supported by your employer?
We've recently welcomed our new Employee Experience Officer, Josephine Baker, to Benenden Hospital.
Josephine says: “My background has always been in employee engagement. Before I joined Benenden Hospital, I was the Learning and Experience Advisor at IC24, which is a healthcare organisation of over 1,000 employees. They manage the NHS 111 contact centres.
About the Employee Experience Officer Role
Josephine continued: “My role as an Employee Experience Officer here at Benenden Hospital has been designed to identify and deliver key projects and initiatives that champion and support our employees. It puts them at the centre of everything we do and our processes in health wellbeing, learning and development, leadership, engagement and talent optimisation, seek to create the best possible overall employee experience.
“The role is designed to champion great employee experience which is critical to meeting our organisational objectives. We want to provide as healthy an environment as we can, so that our people can thrive, through supporting their physical, psychological, social and financial health."
