TV doctor Dr Hilary Jones will be switching on the Christmas lights at Benenden Hospital next week to help raise funds for homeless charity Porchlight.
The Good Morning Britain health editor and BBC Radio 2 guest presenter officially opened the new hospital building in April and will return to turn on the festive lights on Wednesday (December 5).
Pupils at Benenden Primary School will sing Christmas carols followed by a presentation of gifts and speech by Benenden Health member Dr Hilary and then the switch-on in the Atrium, at 4pm.
Every year, Benenden Hospital staff nominate a local charity or worthy good cause and during 2018 they have been supporting Porchlight.
Hospital Director Jane Abbott will be joining more than 20 members of staff who will be taking part in a sponsored sleepout outside the hospital tomorrow (Friday) to raise funds.
Porchlight supports vulnerable and isolated people in Kent and relies on fundraising and donations to help nearly 5,000 people every year.
The number of people sleeping rough in Kent has doubled in the past three years and Porchlight helps adults and children with housing, education, employment and their mental health and wellbeing.
