Benenden Hospital has offered a 10 week work placement to a student from the European School of Physiotherapy in Amsterdam.
Jordan Dehara, aged 21 from Ashford, Kent, is carrying out three internship placements as part of his four year physiotherapy course. Before arriving at Benenden he worked at a hospital in Malta for 10 weeks. His next placement is at a sports clinic in Amsterdam. He has previously worked with the Amsterdam rugby team.
Jordan has been working closely with Benenden Hospital's physiotherapists Shinu Varghese and Bridie O'Loughlin.
He said: "It is good to apply my studies and learnings to real people - I've found this is much more complex than what the books say. Also I'm enjoying getting experience of working alongside other disciplines, with doctors, nurses and healthcare assistants.
"The experience will help to prepare me to work as a physiotherapist once I have completed my course. Everyone at Benenden Hospital has been really friendly and welcoming."
