Staff from the Outpatients team at Benenden Hospital recently took part in the annual Kent Messenger Charity Walk.
They were healthcare support workers Bianca Masters and Sarah Janes-Beaney and staff nurse Bella Danielz. The trio raised around £200 for the Hospital’s charities for 2016 – the Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance and SERV, a charity which delivers emergency blood and other vital services via volunteers on motorbikes.
The 10 mile walk took the ladies just over four hours. Bianca said: “We were lucky because the weather was perfect for walking.”
This year was the 21st anniversary of the walk and 300 participants took part raising £17,000 for good causes across the county.
Benenden Hospital were one of the sponsors, along with Maidstone Ramblers, Gullands Solicitors, Cotswold Outdoor and Audley.
The walk started and finished at Mote Park in Maidstone.
