About Mr Yasser Abdul Aal
I graduated from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt and have since gained broad experience in general surgery in the UK and overseas. After completing a training programme abroad and in the UK in gastrointestinal surgery, I undertook an 18 month fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant surgery at King's College Hospital, London and consolidated my general surgery experience by working at St George's and Croydon University Hospitals.
My interests include medical education, management of critically ill patients and have published leading articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
I am an instructor of the Manager of Critically Ill Surgical Patients course at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a GMC recognised trainer.
In addition to the services I provide at Benenden Hospital, I work with the NHS as a Consultant General Surgeon for the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
