Mr Robert Hone

I am a Consultant ENT Surgeon at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust with regular Sessions in at East Sussex NHS Trust. I have over 10 years of surgical experience. I qualified from Guy’s Kings and St Thomas’ Hospital School of Medicine in 2008 and completed a Masters of Surgery in 2015.

I believe in the highest standard of care and place my patients at the centre of the consultation and decision-making process. I take the time to listen and explore patients’ concerns and symptoms by taking a thorough medical history and examination during the consultation.  Communication and surgical skills have been consistently highlighted as areas of excellence throughout my career.

I have presented academic work at multiple national and international meetings. I have numerous peer-reviewed publications, including book chapters and papers on individual and collaborative work across all areas of ENT. I continue to take an active role in research. 

In my spare time, I love to spend family time with my wife and two daughters, I'm a keen sports fan, and I enjoy looking after some rescue animals we have re-homed.
