About Mr Dimitri Yanni
Following my graduation from Guy’s Hospital Medical School in 1983 I completed the South East Thames orthopaedic training programme. This included trauma, hand, elbow and shoulder surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals as well as peripheral hospitals in the south east where I served both as a registrar and senior registrar. I was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Bromley Group Hospitals in 1994.
I undertook my fellowships at the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary Pulvertaft Hand Unit and the National Orthopaedic Hospital at Cappagh Dublin.
During my career, I have gained distinctions which include “Surgeon in Training Medal” awarded by the RCS Edinburgh, The BOTA Travelling Fellowship and twice received the Rayne Institute Orthopaedic Prize. I am a founding member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS) and the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society (EWAS).
