About Mr James
I began my surgical training in 2001 in London, subsequently training within the South London Orthopaedic Training Programme where I discovered my passion for specialist hand and wrist surgery.
In 2013, I spent a year on a specialist hand fellowship with world renowned surgeon Mark Ross at the Brisbane Upper Limb Institute, gaining specialist experience managing complex upper limb conditions including microsurgery.
Actively involved with up to date practice of medicine, I have published internationally and co-authored several books.
In addition to my work at Benenden Hospital I am a NHS consultant working at the William Harvey and Canterbury Hospitals delivering the Hand service to the local population.
I enjoy keeping fit with cycling and running regularly, and am often joined by my two children and dog. Aside from this I'm a an avid cook and truly enjoy an evening of great food and drink.
