We offer a range of treatment options for chronic middle ear disease depending on the underlying cause, the severity of the symptoms, and your age.
The treatment involves the surgical cutting out (excision) of a skin abnormality from the visible, external part of the ear.
Ménière’s disease treatment is mainly focused on minimising and controlling your symptoms, including hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo and a feeling of pressure deep inside the ear.
Myringoplasty is a procedure to repair a perforated eardrum. It's usually caused by an infection in your middle ear, but can also be the result of trauma.
An operation to remove nasal polyps from the nose or sinuses, usually under general anaesthetic.
Examination of the ear, nose or throat - and/or taking of biopsy, - under anaesthetic (EUA).
If you suffer with severe/recurrent nosebleeds - especially if you're older, have a blood disorder or are on blood-thinning medication - you may need treatment.
If home treatments don't work, we can arrange allergy tests, blood tests or a further examination to eliminate sinusitis or nasal polyps.
A procedure to to straighten your septum; the wall (cartilage at the front, and bone further back) which divides your nose into left and right sides.
If your tonsils become inflamed (tonsillitis) due to a viral infection, they may need to be removed.

I trained in ENT as a Specialist Registrar in London based at The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital including sub-specialist training in Paediatric ENT surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital. I undertook sub-specialist training in head, neck and thyroid Surgery at St Bartholomew's Hospital and The Royal Marsden Hospital.
Before moving to Kent, I completed a year's fellowship in head and neck cancer surgery at Guy's Hospital.
