I have been a Consultant NHS Plastic Surgeon at the world-famous Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Trust since 2006. After being the Breast Oncoplastics Lead for QVH (2008-2012), bringing about policy changes such as preoperative screening mammogram in breast reduction patients, I have worked in various national roles: BAPRAS Council 2013- 2015, UK National Flap Registry Lead (2015-20) and Chair Plastic Surgery FRCS exams (2020-23).
I am currently JCIE (IQA) Chair for 10 surgical specialty FRCS examinations, and a Specialist Advisor in Breast Surgery at the CQC (Care Quality Commission).
Early years included research in nerve regeneration resulting in an MD at UCL and Hunterian Professorship Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1999. My Plastic Surgery training was in the pan-Thames /London rotation and specialist fellowships in 2004 Louisville, USA and Upper Limb Fellowship 2005 in Wrightington.
At Benenden Hospital, I encourage women to be comfortable and confident in how they look and to look more natural. I ensure that they are fully informed before proceeding with surgery. My patients appreciate my honest, caring and straightforward manner.
I enjoy all sports, in particular running and tennis, and lead an active family life with my husband and teenage son.
