About Miss Zakaryan
After graduating from Yerevan State Medical University in 1996, I continued my studies at the Maternity Hospital Educational Centre where I obtained my Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the year 2000. In 2013, I completed my MRCOG which is internationally respected as the gold standard qualification for career progression in obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G).
In 2019, I won the Outstanding Teacher Award and more recently, I was nominated for ‘Most Supportive Consultant Award 2020-2021’.
I have a membership with several professional bodies such as the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the Medical Defense Union (MDU) and the British Medical Association (BMA).
I am an accomplished doctor in general obstetrics and gynaecology. I enjoy both branches of the specialty. I have excellent all-round skills and am experienced across a broad range of areas.
I specialise in general gynaecology which includes bleeding problems, vulval problems, contraception, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), fibroids and vaginal prolapse.
At Benenden Hospital I offer Adenomyosis treatment, Bartholin’s cyst excision, chronic pelvic pain treatment, endometrial ablation, endometriosis treatment, Excision/biopsy of vulval lesion, Excision of vaginal lesion, Gynaecological laparoscopy, Hormone Replacement Therapy, Hysterectomy, Hysteroscopy, Laparoscopic adhesiolysis, Menstrual bleeding disorders, Mirena Coil insertion/removal, Myomectomy, Oophorectomy, Ovarian cyst removal, Sacrospinous fixation, Uterine fibroid treatment and Uterine prolapse treatment.
My interests outside of work include professional piano training, travelling and I also participate in many sports; volleyball, swimming and table tennis to name a few.
