About Dr Taggart
I studied medicine at St Thomas’s Hospital from 1986-1991 and my elective time abroad was spent at The Sydney Melanoma Unit. For my GP training I spent two years at Canterbury Hospital followed by a year in Brisbane. After a year working in a GP practice in London, I achieved my Membership of Royal College of General Practice (MRCGP) in 1997.
I spent another year in London at a private GP practice before becoming a GP partner at Rye Medical Centre from 1999 to date.
For the last eight years, I’ve worked part-time in a private vascular clinic in Harley Street performing facial and leg Microsclerotherapy for the treatment of thread veins.
I train GP’s and have a special interest in ENT, and particularly, Microsuction. I’m also the medical officer for my local RNLI station. I’m an aeromedical examiner for the Civil Aviation Authority carrying out medicals for commercial and recreational pilots.
I’m married with four children and enjoy all sports – I’m a particularly keen golfer.
