About Dr Hanumantharaya
I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist with many years experience in the management of gastroenterology diseases with a special interest in liver and pancreas related diseases.
I gained my medical degree in 1996 from the University of Mysore in India. After completing my training at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital and the University College Hospital in London, I qualified as a Gastroenterologist in 2004, subsequently completing a fellowship in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary medicince and advanced therapeutic endoscopy training at the Royal Free and University College Hospitals in London.
I am widely published in peer reviewed publications on various topics in general gastroenterology, hepatology and pancreatology.
Education is very important to me and I am a GMC recognised trainer.
In addition to the services I provide at Benenden Hospital, I also work with the NHS and since 2016 have been a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
My hobbies include singing, cricket and spending time with my family.
