The Flexi-bank Pharmacist will actively support the Pharmacy Manager to deliver a safe, effective, and quality Pharmacy service. They will take active steps to ensure an excellent level of pharmaceutical care is provided to all patients being treated at Benenden Hospital and will assume the role of Responsible Pharmacist and deputise for the Pharmacy Manager when required.

About the role
The Flexi-bank Pharmacist will report and investigate medication incidents, sharing learning and reducing risk of recurrence and they will ensure that unintentional discrepancies are identified through effective medicines reconciliation. It is requisite of the role that the Flexi-bank Pharmacist will take active steps to ensure safe storage and management of controlled drugs within the organisation.
Skills and experience required
- Registration with GPhC as a Pharmacist
- At least 4 years of post-registration experience
- Evidence of CPD
- Experience of working within a healthcare team
- Previous experience of working in a busy dispensary environment
- Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience of supervising and training other staff is essential
- Experience and skills in using computer programs and harnessing technology to enhance the Pharmacy service
- Previous experience of developing and undertaking audits, audit report writing and presentation of results
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues
- Evidence of good customer service skills and awareness
