We are looking to increase our team of reliable Flexi-Bank staff to support the medical secretarial team. Typically the hours would be required to cover staff sickness, holiday cover and support whilst recruiting permanently. Whilst working flexibly, you will also have the opportunity to accept or decline shifts as they are offered depending on your availability and other commitments.
This role will sit within the wider role of Flexi-Bank Administration and patient Services, and you have the opportunity to also expand to work shifts and be trained in our Reservations team, Clinical administration or other Reception services

It is ideal for people who have other commitments in their lives but are still able to work a reasonable number of hours each month. Alternatively, you may be looking to boost your income, without being tied to set hours each week. Your hours are not guaranteed and fluctuate with the needs of the hospital.
About the role
- Type clinic letters for various specialities and arranging tests etc. arising from the dictation.
- Be responsible for undertaking delegated administrative tasks relevant to the agreed speciality.
- Work flexibly within the department according to the requirements of the business.
- Assist Medical Secretaries with appointments, test result filing and scanning documentation, as required.
Skills and experience required
- Touch typing and audio typing are essential.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Demonstrates team working ethos as well as being able to work under own initiative.
- Demonstrate experience of good customer care and communication skills.
- Proven ability to prioritise workload and undertake multiple tasks under pressure.
- Methodical and well organised with a high level of attention to detail.
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent experience.
- Desirable - relevant professional qualifications, i.e., Secretarial qualifications
