We are currently recruiting for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team on a full time basis. As a Physiotherapy Assistant you will contribute and facilitate excellent standards of Physiotherapy individually or in a group, following hospital guidelines and protocols, with direct supervision of a Physiotherapist.

About the role
- To provide high standards of care to the orthopaedic inpatients to facilitate prompt discharge and successful recovery at home
- To manage and progress own workload where appropriate
- Complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner to the required standard
- Contribute to the recovery of post-operative Orthopaedic patients in the outpatients setting
- To provide telephone advice to patients when appropriate
- Maintain the safety of the working environment and equipment
Skills and experience required
- 1 years’ experience in healthcare setting
- Experience in the field of physiotherapy is desirable.
- Aware of the KSF or equivalent
- Aware of the importance of clinical governance
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- IT literate
- Excellent prioritisation, delegation and time keeping skills
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Able to demonstrate clinical and professional development
- Good initiative with a strong patient-centred approach
- Passionate and empathetic
- Adaptable and flexible to the needs of the service
