At Benenden Hospital, we offer a range of treatments and procedures for self-paying patients who want to access high-quality healthcare without waiting. Whether you need a hip replacement, cataract surgery, or a cosmetic procedure, we can provide you with a personalised quote that reflects your individual needs and preferences.
However, before you request a quote, you may want to know what a guide price is and how it differs from a final price.
A guide price is an estimated amount that we expect you to pay for your treatment or procedure, based on the information we have at the time of enquiry. It is not a fixed or guaranteed price, but rather an indication of the minimum cost that you may incur. A guide price can vary depending on several factors, such as:
- The type and complexity of your treatment or procedure
- The length of your hospital stay and the level of care you require
- The availability and choice of Consultants, Anaesthetists, and other specialists
- The type and amount of medication, implants, or consumables that you need
- The results of any tests, scans, or investigations that you may need before or after your treatment or procedure
Therefore, a guide price is subject to change as we learn more about your condition and your specific requirements. Once you have had an initial consultation with your chosen Consultant, we will be able to give you a more accurate and final price for your treatment or procedure.
This final price will include all the costs associated with your care, such as hospital fees, Consultant fees, Anaesthetist fees, and any additional charges that may apply.
Our hip and knee replacement Price Promise
If you find a better price for an identical total hip or knee replacement procedure, with the same service conditions, at another private hospital within 30 miles of Benenden Hospital, we’ll match the price.
Terms and conditions
- Our hip and knee replacement Price Promise applies only to total hip and knee replacement surgery, including ROSA Knee.
- We match personalised, written quotes only.
- Initial consultations and diagnostic scans, tests and investigations might be needed to establish a diagnosis. These are not included in your procedure price.
- The 30-mile distance must be evidenced via Google Maps from Benenden Hospital to the exact hospital location.
- Quotes must be less than 60 days old.
- Patients must meet our clinical criteria for admission.
Our price promise does not apply to Private Patient units at NHS hospitals.
How and when do I pay?
If you’re self-funding, we’ll ask you to pay in full before you start your treatment. We accept:
- Major credit and debit cards
- Through My Patient Hub
- Electronic payment directly into our bank account
- Cash (to a maximum value of £500.00) or cheque if you're unable to pay by card or bank transfer
